Not everyone can be a butcher, today on Your Other Taste Bud we get you one step closer. Its a bit overwhelming to break down a chicken especially if you don't know how. It is way easier to just have it per cut, de- boned and skinless. Its also more expensive.

Buying the whole chicken can save you cash. Kill two bird with one stone. Think about it, a whole chicken can be split up between two meals or more depending on how many mouths to feed. You can also freeze it and save it or be like us and cook it all at once.

We broke down the whole chicken a did a little roast to it. Check out the herb butter we dressed the chicken with and all veggies we used to give it some excellent flavors below. We had the main protein for three different meals that served two.

This is cost effective and saves money but also time. Try it out and you'll thank us.

If you need help figuring out a side, we have a great Butternut Squash recipe you should check out. It would pair nicely with the Herb Butter Chicken Roast we made. We know we ate it.

Show your friends and family your new skill and let us be Your Other Taste Bud

get dirty and spread all over the chicken even under the skin, this is to insure the flavors absorb into the meat.

For the roast just use any veggies you have in the fridge, we used celery, onions, swiss chard stalks and put a little chicken stock. You also could use vegetable stock. Apples, and carrots would be a great choice to use.
